If you look at the side of the carb that mounts against the engine manifold you should see a small (1/16') hole as well a matching hole on the manifold. Hopefully you didn't get any carb cleaner on the needle end as it could ruin the sealing rubber. On the metering side, the gasket goes against the carb body then metering diaphragm then cover.
You mentioned you did replace the fuel filter and put in a gasket/diaphram kit into the carb.ĭid you make sure the gaskets and diaphragms went on in the correct order? On the pump side (the side where the fuel inlet is located) the order should be diaphragm against carb body then gasket then cover. If there are no leaks while the one end is plugged, yet when you lift your finger air blows freely, your fuel line may be OK. Then plug one end with your finger and blow into the other end.
You could disconnect the fuel line from the carb and the other end from the filter.
